How to Find Your Bracelet Size at Home

Handmade gemstone jewelry feels best when it fits perfectly—snug enough to stay put, comfortable enough to forget you’re wearing it. Here’s a simple, accurate way to measure bracelet size at home using things you already have.

What you need

A strip of paper or string

A ruler

Optional: a bracelet you already love the fit of

Method A: Measure your wrist, then add comfort allowance

  1. Wrap paper/string around your wrist where you’ll wear the bracelet.
  2. Mark where it overlaps.
  3. Measure that length in inches or centimeters — that’s your wrist size.
  4. Now add allowance based on the fit you want:

Bracelet sizing guide

1. Snug fit: wrist + ¼–½ in (0.5–1.25 cm)

2. Comfort fit (most popular): wrist + ½–¾ in (1.25–2 cm)

3. Loose fit: wrist + ¾–1 in (2–2.5 cm)

Method B: Measure a bracelet you already own

If you have a bracelet that fits perfectly:

Lay it flat and measure from end to end, including the clasp.

When a bracelet has a clasp, the “length” is usually measured:

If your wrist is 6.5 in and you want a comfortable fit:

Target bracelet length: 7.0–7.25 in (including clasp)
